All of this might prove interesting and of course disturbing, but it is ultimately reductive. All nuclear war would be catastrophic and tend towards the Mutually Assured Destruction end-game (click here).

President Medvedev has a problem and those who understand the Russian dialect will detect that problem is either stroke and medically related, or that former president has an affliction with excessive intake of alcohol. As such, Dmitry Medvedev has, on several occasions (under the influence of alcohol) been referencing his delight that the decadent Western cultures will suffer a collapse in the Western economies financial systems. This may be the reason why Medvedev has been side-lined by President Putin.
